Stand Down Show with Nebojšom Milovanovićem

The autoironic confession that defends poetry as the essence and truth; connects the incompatible and brings fullness and tranquility through music, poetry, spirit and rich visualization. The show has elements of “stand up” comedy with a deeper meaning and a source in which poetry is enriched with great musical arrangements.

“Stand down” is played by theatrical and scenic forms and becomes a socially engaged performance. The play features poems by Ljubomir Simović, Brana Petrović, Miroslav Antić, Vito Nikolic, Milena Marković, Laze Kostić, Petar Pajić, Aleksandar Sekulić, Vladislav Petković Dis, Ljubivoje Ršumović, Dobrica Erić, Matija Bećković, Moša Odalović and William Shakespeare.

The show was first performed in 2014, and has so far played across Serbia, the region, Europe, and the world, and was awarded with a gold medal for the best performance at the International Monodrama and Pantomime Festival in Zemun, as well as the prize for innovation and stage play.

The author of video works is Marko Crnobrnja, supervisor is the theater director Milan Neskovic, and the performers are: Nebojsa Milovanovic – drama artist; Stanislav Stojkanovic – percussion; Dusan Popovic Lipovac – guitar; Neda Nikolić – frula; Bojan Krtinić – clarinet.)
